11.  Students may take only 12 units as P/NP option during their ENTIRE time at UCI  Academic English courses and other courses offered only as P/NP option do count as part of the 12 units Pass/Non Pass (P/NP) Policy

12.  Students are eligible for 16 units of repetition for courses they wish to retake  The new grade will replace the previous GPA  However, the original grade will always remain / show up on the official transcript; it does not disappear! Course Repetition Policy
