Background to APUC Ltd Procurement Centre of Expertise for 18 Universities and 29 Colleges Established in 2007 in response to the McClelland Report – Review of Public Procurement in Scotland Carries out traditional collaborative contracting consortia activities Also as a CoE develops guidance materials, undertakes best practice process development, provides eTools implementation and support services, systems development, procurement training, embedded institutional shared services, college procurement services, procurement capability assessments (PCA) and capability development support. Made up of Operational Procurement Team, College Services Team, Processes and Best Practice Team and e-Solutions Team Is representative body for matters related to procurement for all of Scotland's Universities and Colleges.

Aims to deliver best value supply chain services which support improvements in the health and well-being of all the people in Scotland. Aims to raise procurement standards across local authorities and related organisations through a collaborative approach.
