Unit 6 Job Satisfaction (Grammar) Past simple vs. present perfect : both used to talk about past actions. Past simple : is used when the time of the action is mentioned in the sentence. E.g. Ago, 1999, last week\month, on Monday, in March, etc. Present perfect : used when the time is not mentioned because it is un known or not important. E.g. For, since, yet, already, just, three times

Unit 6 Job Satisfaction (Speaking) In task 2 speaking section, you are asked to talk about a topic for about 2 minutes. This topic is printed on a card and it is important to talk about all the points in the card. You will have 1 minute to think about the topic before you speak, so it is useful to write down some notes.

Unit 6 Job Satisfaction (writing) In writing task 2 it is important to understand the question that consist of 2 parts, that you are suppose to answer. If you don’t you will lose marks. You suppose to give your opinion, so there is no correct answer you can agree or disagree or a mixture of both. It is a good idea to state the 2 sides of the argument. Don’t repeat the question in your introduction. Making a brain storming list before you write is always a good idea.

Unit 6 Job Satisfaction (writing) First, An introduction restating the view expressed in the question and giving a brief reaction to it. ( you will lose marks if you copy the wording of the question ). Second, a discussion of some people hold this view, with examples or comments supporting it and against it. Third, your own opinion, supported by examples. Finally, your conclusion.

Unit 6 Job Satisfaction (writing) After you done writing, read through your answer. Correct any mistakes, but do not rewrite the whole essay. Check for: Overall structure Paragraphing. Coherence. Style. Grammar, spelling and punctuation. Your habitual errors.
