VERIFICATION OF AUTHENTICITY APPLIES TO: ORIGINAL ISSUANCES ADDITIONAL RATINGS (from foreign cert.) ADDITIONAL RATINGS (U.S. TEST PASSED) STANDARD U.S. COMMERCIAL U.S. ATP “Anything requiring completion of Block D of 8710.1”

VERIFICATION OF AUTHENTICITY DPE PROCEDURE Obtain Letter of Verification of Authenticity from Applicant Must be letter, not e-mail transmission Valid for 180 days A copy is acceptable Fax copy from FSDO acceptable

VERIFICATION OF AUTHENTICITY DPE PROCEDURE Conduct Certification Activity Issue Temporary or Notice of Disapproval Attach Letter of Verification to File ACRA Users Send File Directly to OKC Traditional Files Sent to FSDO MC/FPEs May Resume Activities

U.S. STANDARD CERTIFICATE MUST MEET PART 61 REQUIREMENTS U.S. FAA MEDICAL REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE TEST REQUIRED PRACTICAL TEST REQUIRED ONLY “U.S. TEST PASSED” MAY BE TRANSFERRED TO STANDARD CERT. USE “PENDING” AS CERT. NO. PILOT MAY HOLD 2 CERTIFICATES

FOREIGN LICENSES WHEN MUST 8710.1, SECTION II, ITEM “D” BE COMPLETED ? WHEN REISSUING RESTRICTED CERTIFICATE, INCLUDE ALL PREVIOUS RATINGS APPLICANT KEEPS RESTRICTED CERT. TO EXERCISE PRIVILEGES NOT ON STANDARD CERTIFICATE –SUBMIT COPY OF RESTRICTED CERT.
