February, 6 th 2008 WHERE IS THE OPPORTUNITY? We are hearing clearly that there is growth in the PC download, console download, and ad-supported markets. Most fledgling developers (and many mature developers) can only focus on one of these markets. If you were starting a new independent development shop today, which market would you focus on and why? If you had to ignore one of these three channels, which would you choose and why?

February, 6 th 2008 IS IT EVEN REASONABLE TO START UP? With more and more developers – both in North America and in cheaper global labor markets – entering the casual space, is it a reasonable moment in our history to build a company to create content for these formats?

February, 6 th 2008 ARE YOU REACHING THE SAME AUDIENCE OVER AND OVER? Many of the most popular casual games already appear in all three of these formats. When you take a game from download to web to console, are you given the same customer more ways to access your product? Reaching new customers? Does it vary by game, and if so what are the key factors?

February, 6 th 2008 ARE NEW PAYMENT TECHNOLOGIES BLURRING THE LINES BETWEEN CONTENT TYPES? How much traction are new monetization models like pay-per-play (WildCoins), pay- per-minute (DoubleTrump), independent ad networks (MochiMedia) and microtransactions hybrids (Diner Dash 4) getting? How much are they impacting the types of content that can be successful in these markets? Are they pointing the way toward a convergence of economic models? Audience segments?

February, 6 th 2008 WHO STANDS TO LOSE? Of the various new emerging markets and channels, which stands the greatest chance of disrupting the existing models? Which model stands the best chance of being disrupted?
