2. 2 Name Changes  EuCARD-2 started May 2013  Ionisation Cooling Test Facility @ STFC (ICTF@STFC)  WP8  Separated from MICE  MICE is a user of the ICTF @ STFC

3. 3 TA (WP8): application process  Applications are assessed by TA Panel: –Ken Peach (Oxford, Chair) –Francesco Terranova (Milan) –Steve Geer (Fermilab) –plus technical (MICE) and administrative (FP7) input as needed.  Panel works on cycle of two calls per year, advertised on the web pages of: –EuCARD-2 (http://cern.ch/eucard2)http://cern.ch/eucard2 –PPD – STFC (http://www.stfc.ac.uk/PPD/Experiments/EuCARD2/44060.aspx)http://www.stfc.ac.uk/PPD/Experiments/EuCARD2/44060.aspx –MICE page has a link but is NOT the main advertiser.  Contact has been made with the Research Directors of PSI, KEK and TRIUMF who have been asked to advertise the access to the ICTF throughout their communities.

4. 4 Assessment  Applications were received (in first call) from University of Geneva, University of Sofia and INFN  Funding allocated for the 12 month and 18 month periods requested. –Total proposed visits – 34 –Total people – 36 –Total visitor days – 276 –Relating to – 1153 access units (2280 required for the project)

5. 5 Future  Funding used –Geneva – 149 visitor days –INFN – 17 visitor day –Sofia – 11 visitor days  Next call deadline is March 2014 –CERN courier and Accelerating News will run advertisements.  Calls after March will be every 6 months –Next deadline for September. –We are going into a heavy operational period. –March 2015 will be MICE Step IV data taking period.
