Ensure you have seen your son/daughter timetable and know exactly when they should be in school Students are expected to do approximately 5 hours of work per subject outside of the lessons – help them to prioritise/organise Students struggle with time management and have difficulty meeting deadlines Use school diary to record work and PLAN when they will do their work. Employment – no more that 8 hours recommended Read and sign ‘working for success’ in student diary – lots of other information in their! Please phone the school to explain absence Contact me EARLY if student shows signs of struggling, unhappy with subject choices etc. Encourage your son/daughter to COMMUNICATE with their subject teachers.
