2 How ‘great’ was the British Empire? Lesson Objective: To use different interpretations and our own opinions to explain why the Empire might be classed as good and bad. Learning Outcomes: a) Identify which statements suggest good and bad things about the Empire. b) To understand the benefits and drawbacks of the British Empire for both Britain and its colonies. c) Give an opinion on whether they think the Empire was a good or bad thing.
