8. #Global Warming  The release of carbon dioxide into the air.  Temperature on earth is increasing.  Global warming is the effect of two hundred years of burning fossil fuels, such as coal and oil. These fossil fuels released from factories prevent the heat on earth from escaping into space, causing the temperature to rise.  “Green House Effect”

Air pollution in Developed and Developing Countries  Acid Rain In Korea.  Significant Air Pollution in Brazil : According to an evaluation based on World Bank and United Nations data of emissions and air quality in 18 mega-cities, Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo were ranked the 12 th and 17 th the most polluted cities because of this ethanol based air pollution.  Acid Rain in Jakarta : the pH level in rainwater was recorded worst in Jakarta (4.52).  Other Nations : India, China, affected by air pollutions.

Prevention  Use of scrubbers which trap pollutants before they are released.  Using catalytic converters in cars to reduce their emissions.  Alternative energy sources.  Usage of natural gas or CNG in power plants is increased instead of burning diesel.  Funding for the restoration of damaged ecosystems.
