Club Rochester Two years ago, SUBS co-hosted a Club Rochester with the Biology Department, The Society for Undergraduate Physics Students, and the Undergraduate Chemistry Council. The theme was MAD SCIENTIST! and was a huge success. It featured our most beloved professors as bartenders. We are hoping to run this event again next year and would love your help in planning it! We will be doing this again this year during SCRAW!

Study Hours One of the more recent SUBS inventions! When you have an exam coming up, you can get together with other Bio students to study. There are always people who have already taken that class to answer any questions you can’t figure out, or just give you the low down on what a professor’s exams are really like! Would these help you!?
8
Majors Fair Evolution and Ecology Cell and Developmental Genetics Biochemistry Microbiology Neuroscience B.A. in Biology Coming this Spring - find out which major fits you the best. Students will tell you what each major is really like!
9
Study Abroad We bring in students who have studied abroad as well as faculty from the study abroad office. They specialize in arranging a study abroad opportunity that can accommodate the courses need for a science major.
10
Fellowships & Summer Opportunities Hear from students who have had fellowships and participated in research over the summer. Faculty from the career center will talk about searching for and applying to such programs.
11
Princeton Review & Kaplan We have a working partnership with both Kaplan and Princeton Review; both of which give talks about standardized tests such as the MCAT and GRE. There is also an opportunity for discounted (and free) review courses for MCATs and GREs!! We also have had M.D./PhD. Students come in and talk about the similarities and differences of applying to graduate school versus medical school.
12
Next GIM Monday October 15th in the Gowen Room at 7pm. Representative from Kaplan will be present to talk about the new MCAT and GRE as well as any other tests of interest. Representatives from medical/dental school admissions, PhD admissions, Warner School admissions and nursing school admissions will be speaking about the admissions process for each of their respective programs.
