M ATERIALS Things we used to do the experiment: Potatoes Water (for 10 gr of starch you need to add 100 ml of water) Measuring cup Pan Mixer Glycerin (for each 10 gr of starch you need to add 1 drop of glycerin) Gas stove Bottle Knife Plates For a sustainable colour use a beet

M ETHOD Peel the potatoes and cut them in pieces Measuring cup – add water – Mix it Cut the bottom of the bottle – put liquid in the bottle Now starch sinks to the bottom - take out the starch Let the starch dry for a day

This starch is dry. This starch is still wet.

Put the starch in a pan and add water. For each 10 grams of starch you need to add 100 ml of water. For a colour - add water from fruit or vegetable instead of normal tap water. Mix the liquid on the gas stove until it looks like a wallpaper paste Add some glycerin. For each 10 grams of powder you have to add one drop of glycerin/glycerol.

Stir the mixture Pour the porridge on a plate. Let it dry for a couple of days or put it on the central heating.

R ESULTS When you leave plastic to dry it will curl and that is why you see such small species. Transparant & red plastic

This is one piece of plastic. Dried correctly Can be used for many things

C ONCLUSION Hypothesis is false. Could not make it Proved that plastic can be made sustainable Better for environment
