Narrow (classic) sense definition: Eg. Arabic speaking countries use classical Arabic as H variety And regional colloquial as L variety In Europe Middle Ages (H)was Latin beside its daughters language as (Italian- French- Spanish) Both varities are are linguistically related to each other
