5 Mr. Smith Goes to Washington Senator goes to Washington to fight greed and corruption. Fighting for the little people.

6 War of the Worlds Radio program by Orson Welles. Performed on CBS Radio October 30, 1938. Many people thought it was real.

7 Music Music and variety shows played on radio so you could stay home instead of going out for entertainment.

8 New Deal and the Arts Dorothea Lange: Photographer who took pictures dealing with Depression life.

Comic Strips: Dick Tracy, Flash Gordon, Superman: Super heroes fought crime and protected the little people.
