3 Introduction

4 Basic mechanism 1. Shorter, high Energy wavelengths Hit the earths Surface 2. Incoming energy Is converted to heat 3. Longer, infrared Wavelengths hit Greenhouse gas Molecules in the atmosphere 4. Greenhouse gas Molecules in the Atmosphere emit Infrared radiation Back towards earth

5

6 Greenhouse gases Carbon Dioxide (CO 2 ) Methane (CH 4 ) Nitrous oxide (N 2 O)

9 Positive ecological consequences of greenhouse effect  Conditions of plant’s growth will improve  Productivity of agricultural crops will raise  The quantity of tundra and forest-tundra will be reduced

10 Negative ecological consequences of greenhouse effect Many plants will be lost from a water lack after them many kinds of animals will die out also

11 Rise in temperature will accelerate reproduction of harmful insects The crop of the basic cultures will be lowered But the main problem is increase of the World Ocean's level

12 Solution of greenhouse effect’s problem  Use of water and wind energy.  Restoration of earth's vegetative cover  Replacement of fossil fuel with other ecologically harmless energy sources.

13 Conclusion  The greenhouse effect on the Earth was always.  Without the greenhouse effect oceans would freeze for a long time, and the higher forms of life wouldn't appear.  But we think people are responsible for increase of natural greenhouse effect on some degrees.

14 Thanks for your attention!
