Heat Exhaustion Symptoms The most common signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion include: Confusion. Dizziness. Fainting. Fatigue. Headache. Muscle or abdominal cramps. Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Heat Exhaustion Treatment Move to cool place Lay victim down Elevate feet Loosen clothing Give fluids Apply cool compresses

Encourage water breaks! Make sure the players are adequately hydrated!

How to tell if it is Heat Stroke..... This is the worse of the two (between heat exhaustion or heatstroke) This is the worse of the two (between heat exhaustion or heatstroke) High body temperature. A body temperature of 104 F (40 C) or higher is the main sign of heatstroke. Altered mental state or behavior.... Nausea and vomiting.... Flushed skin.... Rapid breathing.... Racing heart rate.... Headache

Cool down for Heat Exhaustion/ Stroke Use ice packs placed under armpits, on either side of the neck and in the groin area.

ALLERGIC REACTIONS AND ANAPHYLAXIS

AnaphylaxisAnaphylaxis (an-a-fi-LAK-sis) is a serious, life-threatening allergic reaction. The most common anaphylactic reactions are to foods, insect stings, medications and latex. Some symptoms include: Hives, or rash shortness of breath and or throat tightness, cramps and/or vomiting and diarrhea Anaphylaxis requires immediate medical treatment, including an injection of epinephrine.

Stop playing when thunder is present. Seek shelter immediately. Let the storm play through. With lightning, one strike and you’re out!
