50 minutes to analyze a 650-750 word document and draft an essay Assesses reading, analysis, and writing skills Analyze a source document and explain how the author builds an argument Utilize facts to support arguments

Focus is on: Real-world problem solving and data analysis ▪ %, ratios, decimals, interpreting graphs Algebra, Geometry ▪ equations and systems Advanced Math ▪ functions, trigonometry, and advanced concepts “Mental Math”: Non-calculator problems focus on students’ number sense. Math questions involve reading, and include analyzing charts, identifying functional relationships.

Reading Details: No sentence completion Reading analysis of passages from U.S. & World Literature, History, & Science (500-850 words) Writing and Language details “Expression of Ideas” and “Standard English Conventions” through passages related to Careers, History, Humanities, and Science Questions pull from extended prose (400-450 words)
