5.  50 minutes to analyze a 650-750 word document and draft an essay  Assesses reading, analysis, and writing skills  Analyze a source document and explain how the author builds an argument  Utilize facts to support arguments

6.  Focus is on:  Real-world problem solving and data analysis ▪ %, ratios, decimals, interpreting graphs  Algebra, Geometry ▪ equations and systems  Advanced Math ▪ functions, trigonometry, and advanced concepts  “Mental Math”: Non-calculator problems focus on students’ number sense.  Math questions involve reading, and include analyzing charts, identifying functional relationships.

7.  Reading Details:  No sentence completion  Reading analysis of passages from U.S. & World Literature, History, & Science (500-850 words)  Writing and Language details  “Expression of Ideas” and “Standard English Conventions” through passages related to Careers, History, Humanities, and Science  Questions pull from extended prose (400-450 words)
