2. Subject Pronouns Take the place of a noun that is used as the subject of the sentence. They are found at the beginning of a phrase or clause. Ask who or what is doing the action. Ex. We won the game. I you he, she, it, we they

3. Object Pronouns Take the place of a noun that is used as the object of the sentence. They are found near the end of a phrase or clause. Ask what the action is happening to. Ex. The coach called them off the field. me you him, her, it us them

4. Possessive Pronouns These pronouns show ownership. Ex. That is my book. That book is mine. my, mine your, yours his, her, hers, its our, ours their, theirs

5. Reflexive Pronouns Reflexive pronouns refer back to the subject of the sentence. Ex. I gave myself plenty of time to study. Jim bought himself a new video game. myself yourself himself, herself, itself ourselves themselves

6. Other Pronouns Demonstrative – show a particular object ◦ this, that, these, those Interrogative – used in a question ◦ who, what, which, whoever, whatever, whichever Indefinite – refers to something not specific ◦ all, any, each, everyone, anyone, someone, nobody, few
