3. Noise Abatement Task Force History – On August 7, 2002 the Pinellas County BCC adopted a resolution establishing the Aircraft Noise Abatement Task Force; first meeting took place in February 2003. Goal is to work with the community to explore methods of reducing aircraft noise and its impact on residential neighborhoods surrounding the Airport. Membership: 7-Residents, 1-Airline, 1-Cargo Carrier, 2- Military, 2-General Aviation, 1-Airport & 4-Advisory Members

5. FLY FRIENDLY PROGRAM The Office of Noise Affairs offers free General Aviation and Fly Friendly presentations to local pilot organizations, aviation-related businesses, and flight schools on noise abatement techniques for pilots along with information specific to operating at PIE.
