2 CCP’s most popular multi-arts festival that draws record numbers of audiences to numerous performances in all of its venues From 7,000 viewers in 2006 to 27,000 viewers in 2009

3 9 CCP Resident Companies lead the day-long festival by performing excerpts from their season offering Philippine Madrigal Singers Tanghalang Pilipino Philippine Ballet Theater UST Symphony Orchestra Bayanihan Philippine National Folk Dance Company Ballet Philippines Ramon Obusan Folkloric Group National Music Competitions for Young Artists Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra

4 a whole day arts buffet with over a hundred guest artists from music, theater, dance, visual arts, film, and literature offering sneak previews of the CCP performing arts season

5 aims to develop new audiences from students, youth and families, and provides an entry level experience to the broadest audiences

6 activities including mini workshops, instrument petting zoos, information booths, exhibits, film screenings, a culinary fair, an arts and collectibles market and a children’s zone

7 Specific Objectives:  Reach a viewership of at least 50,000 for the whole event;  Embed the brands of the resident companies, guest companies and artists;  Increase awareness of the CCP season and programs;  Stimulate advance interest in the upcoming shows and seasons of the participating companies and artists;  Effect a high profile presence of the CCP and its Resident Companies in the internet, television, radio and print

8 Project Strategies Pay what you can, see all you can scheme All attendees will be encouraged to “pay what they can” to access all the shows and activities for the whole day. The “pay “what you can” scheme aims to stimulate public support for the arts. High profile celebrity spokespersons shall be invited to become media advocates for the event and shall make appearances in television, print and the internet.

9 Activities Art and Culture Zones: 1. Opening of the Pasinaya 2010 2. Resident Company Zone: excerpts from shows included in the 2010 season 3. Music Zone: Samplers of orchestral music, classical ensembles, solo Instrument, choral performance, rondalla, drum and lyre bands, marching bands, and instrument petting zoo, mini workshops in choral singing 4. Dance Zone: Ballet, Modern Ballet, Folkloric, Ballroom, Hiphop, and mini workshops in ballroom dancing and folk dancing 5. Film Zone: short films from the previous Cinemalaya Festivals 6. Literary Zone: Performance Poetry (word Jam) 7. Visual Arts: Arts Fair 8. Children’s Zone: Storytelling, Puppet shows 9. Culinary Zone: Cooking Demonstration, Food Fair 10. Arts and Collectibles Fairs 11. Gallery Zone: audiences get free admission to all galleries in the Center 12. Closing of the Pasinaya 2010

11 PROJECT BENEFITS  involves at least 1,000 artists from all fields of arts  logs at least 50,000 viewers to its more than ninety (90) art activities  promotes access and exposure to the arts to the broadest audiences.  promotes identity recall of artists, companies and their works to audiences  makes art and culture accessible, enjoyable, and free to the largest public  contributes to the vision of making art and culture a part of every Filipino’s life

12 PASINAYA 2010 will make the CCP the most creative place on Earth on February 7!
