Qualifying Generalizations ● What does qualifying a generalization mean? – To point out the limits of a generalization ● When should we qualify generalizations? – Maybe when our generalizations could make us seem rude or ignorant or when there are notable exceptions

School Interview ● Differences between Chinese and Western students ● Your school newspaper has asked you to interview a Western culture expert about the differences between western and Chinese students – In small groups, write a list of important questions
