2. Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro was born on February 5th 1985 in Funchal (Modeira) and commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo or CR7, is a Portuguese footballer.

3. Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he played for two years. Then, he changed to Nacional and then to Sporting CP. In 1997, Ronaldo’s talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson.

4. In 2008,Ronaldo won the Champions League with United and he was named player of the tournament. He was also named FIFA Word Player of the year and became Manchester United’s first Ballon d’Or in 40 years. In 2009 he started playing for Real Madrid where he still plays today.
