-KNOW WHO GOD IS (knowledge of the Lord)… through Word Proverbs 2:5 Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 9:10 "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Psalm 33:8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; Let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of Him.

-KNOW WHO GOD IS (knowledge of the Lord) …through Word Psalm 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, Psalm 147:11 The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy. Psalm 118:4 Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His mercy endures forever."

-KNOW WHO GOD IS (knowledge of the Lord)… through Word Psalm 66:16 Come and hear, all you who fear God, And I will declare what He has done for my soul. Malachi 3:16 …So a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who meditate on His name.

- HATE WHAT GOD HATES (movement toward the Lord)… my sin Proverbs 3:7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.

- HATE WHAT GOD HATES (movement toward the Lord) …my sin Proverbs 23:17 Do not let your heart envy sinners, but be zealous for the fear of the LORD all the day; Proverbs 16:6 In mercy and truth atonement is provided for iniquity; and by the fear of the LORD one departs from evil.

HATE WHAT GOD HATES (movement toward the LORD) …my sin Job 28:28 And to man He said, 'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, And to depart from evil is understanding.' " Exodus18:21 Moreover you shall select from all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness… Nehemiah 5:15 But the former governors who were before me laid burdens on the people, and took from them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Yes, even their servants bore rule over the people, but I did not do so, because of the fear of God.

HATE WHAT GOD HATES (movement toward the LORD) … my sin Deuteronomy 25:18 how he (Amalek) met you on the way and attacked your rear ranks, all the stragglers at your rear, when you were tired and weary; and he did not fear God. 2Corinthians 7:1 Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

DO WHAT GOD SAYS (obedience to the Lord) Genesis 22:12 And He said, "Do not lay your hand on the lad, or do anything to him; for now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me." Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all.

DO WHAT GOD SAYS (obedience to the Lord) Deuteronomy 6:2 that you may fear the LORD your God, to keep all His statutes and His commandments which I command you… Deuteronomy 17:19 And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, that he may learn to fear the LORD his God and be careful to observe all the words of this law and these statutes, Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, men and women and little ones, and the stranger who is within your gates, that they may hear and that they may learn to fear the LORD your God and carefully observe all the words of this law,

DO WHAT GOD SAYS (obedience to the Lord) Deuteronomy 6:24 And the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always… 2Kings 17:34 To this day they continue practicing the former rituals; they do not fear the LORD, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances, or the law and commandment which the LORD had commanded the children of Jacob…

DO WHAT GOD SAYS (obedience to the Lord) Psalm 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.

-Serve as God deserves (service for the Lord) Deuteronomy 6:13 You shall fear the LORD your God and serve Him... Deuteronomy 10:12 "And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and to love Him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, Deuteronomy 10:20 You shall fear the LORD your God; you shall serve Him…

-Serve as God deserves (service for the Lord) Joshua 24:14 "Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD! 1Samuel 12:14 If you fear the LORD and serve Him and obey His voice, and do not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then both you and the king who reigns over you will continue following the LORD your God. 1Samuel 12:24 Only fear the LORD, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.

To have wisdom for life, I must fear the LORD… To fear the LORD, I must know Him intimately, imitate Him consistently, obey Him implicitly, and serve Him faithfully.
