Local staff bring an increased understanding of the local context in a peer country Strong inter-country collaboration Dual effect (a peer-exchange visit and technical assistance – both countries benefit) Sustainable approach: Builds on existing QA expertise and enhances knowledge and capacity How has PSI benefitted from localizing QA?

A continuous and comprehensive training process increases local staff capacity and confidence This approach could be applied to other FP/RH program components. PSI is also integrating this in other health areas. Lessons Learned
