2. Library Databases The library provides access to a number of databases appropriate for nursing research: Alt Health Watch CINAHL The Cochrane Library Health Source Nursing and Academic Medline/PubMed ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health

3. Selecting a Database Alt Health Watch focuses on complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness offers full text articles for more than 180 international journals and reports Includes pamphlets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts

Selecting a Database CINAHL indexes articles from 4600 nursing and allied health journals including access to the full- text of articles from 770 of those journals indexes articles from as far back as 1937 also provides full text for more than 275 books/monographs Provides access to a collection of evidence- based care sheets

Selecting a Database The Cochrane Library collection of six databases that contain different types of high-quality, independent evidence to inform healthcare decision- making Includes access to the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, a source of evidence based research Provides full-text access to all Cochrane systematic reviews

Selecting a Database ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Indexes articles from 850 journals in the fields of nursing, allied health and alternative medicine Provides full-text access to articles from ~770 indexed publications Provides indexing and access to over 12,000 dissertations in nursing and related fields

Accessing Databases All of these databases can be accessed from the Find Articles page of the Kettering College Library website The easiest way to access the library website is to access the Kettering College website at http://www.kc.edu http://www.kc.edu Once you are at the college website scroll down and click the Library button.
