1 28 th CFC ANNIVERSARY LUNETA GRANDSTAND 27 JUNE 2009 THEME: “RUNNING THE RACE TO WIN”

2 CREATIVE HANDLE: “OLYMPICS” RATIONALE: The overall look and feel of the venue is like that of the Olympic Games, with more focus on racing events, in line with our “Running the Race to Win” anniversary theme, consistent with this year’s CFC theme of moving “Forward in Christ”. We want to deliver the message that just like athletes determined to win the gold, we too are determined to accomplish our goal – our prize in Jesus.

3 AREA ASSIGNMENTS: Big sectors plus adopted Philippine regions or International delegation… 1.Big South + Western Visayas + Bicol + International 2.Big West + Northern Luzon 3.Big North + Mindanao 4.Big East + Eastern Visayas + Southern Tagalog 5.Big Central + Central Luzon + Central Visayas This grouping will be reflected in village (booths) assignments, as well as parade entries.

9 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMFAMILY DAY / BOOTH ACTIVITIES Village assignments – Metro Manila big sectors, with adopted areas Village theme (creative and pastoral)– will be drawn by lots, and will be reflected in booth decorations and parade entries Village activities – games and gimmicks; FLAME booth; cell phone charging stations; photo exhibit regarding pastoral theme which highlights the accomplishments/works of the areas

10 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PMAMAZING RACE/OBSTACLE COURSE One team (“family”) will be formed from each village – CFC couple, plus members from the family ministries, but not necessarily blood-related One course/mission will be accomplished in each village, related to the creative theme assigned to the area (For example – Paper boat race for the village with the Regatta theme) Race requires each “family” (team) to visit all the villages

11 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:00 PM – 3:30 PMASSEMBLY FOR PARADE Manila Hotel side, Padre Burgos (right side facing the grandstand) a. CFC Fulltime mission workers who will carry the large CFC flag b. CFC International Council (with wives and families) c.Big South, Big North, Big Central (and adopted areas) Museo Pambata side, Kalaw (left side facing the grandstand) a. Big West and Big East (and adopted areas) b.Torch-bearers and fire poi dancers

12 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PMANNIVERSARY PARADE Opening production number (ala Olympics opening ceremonies) Flip cards at the grandstand will be used throughout the program 1.“CFC @ 28” 2.Anniversary logo 3.“Forward in Christ” logo 4.CFC logo

13 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PMANNIVERSARY PARADE Large CFC flag, covering the width of the race track, carried by fulltime CFC missionaries will signal the start of the parade; CFC flag will also be hoisted at the flag pole area

14 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PMANNIVERSARY PARADE CFC Council will be at the forefront of the parade, in F1 car race outfit, consistent with the “Forward in Christ” F1 concept during the Araneta Leaders Conference

15 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PMANNIVERSARY PARADE Parade entries of the 5 area assignments will follow; Entry composition are as follows: 1. Banner with the pastoral theme assignment 2. Production # / playground demonstration related to the creative theme – 30 to 50 dancers/performers 3. Paraders wearing Anniversary shirts, with props/gimmick like flaglets, balloons, giveaways, etc. – 200 to 500 paraders NOTE: Paraders are encouraged to parade as a FAMILY, and shouldn’t be divided into the ministries within the area

16 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PMANNIVERSARY PARADE During the parade, VO will announce trivia and accomplishments of the area currently parading 1. Area covered (per sector/region) 2. Presence in all parishes, schools, etc. (percentage) 3. Number of GK areas 4. Presence of CFC ministries (Fam Min, Soc Min) 5. Percentage growth in numbers Parade music – “CFC Theme Song”

17 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:00 PM – 5:15 PMSYMBOLIC LIGHTING OF THE TORCH VO to explain “fire” as a symbol of the Holy Spirit, thus saying that CFC moves forward in the Holy Spirit “Fire Dance” segues to the symbolic lighting of the torch – dancers wearing fire colors (red, orange, yellow) with “fire”-like props of the same color scheme Music – “Spirit of Revival”

21 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:00 PM – 5:30 PMSYMBOLIC LIGHTING OF THE TORCH Torch bearers consist of a delegation of 28 pairs of father & son runners (2 pairs per sector + 1 pair each for Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and International), the torch being passed from father to son; numbers on the runners signify the years since CFC started up to the present (1981 – 2009)

22 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:00 PM – 5:30 PMSYMBOLIC LIGHTING OF THE TORCH Fire poi dancers will accompany the torch bearers, concluding the production # with the lighting of the torch

23 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:15 PM – 5:30 PMOPENING WORSHIP and NATIONAL ANTHEM Music from fire dance segues to the opening worship (fast songs), while fire dancers move to the grandstand in preparation for the National Anthem Opening worship segues to the National Anthem, as fire dancers move to position and discard their “fire” costume to reveal the Phil flag colors (white, yellow, blue, red) and form one big “human” flag on the grandstand, & the Phil flag is hoisted at the flag pole area

24 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:15 PM – 5:30 PMOPENING WORSHIP and NATIONAL ANTHEM After the National Anthem, as fire dancers exit the grandstand, leaders from the areas (Regional Area Heads) go up onstage to pledge their targets for next year in terms of: 1. Evangelization 2. Building the Church of the Home 3. Building the Church of the Poor End with new IC being introduced to the assembly, and giving their own pledge Logistics set-up for Lord’s Day during the pledges

25 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 5:30 PM – 6:00 PMTHE LORD’S DAY International Council, with their wives, lead the Lord’s Day on a large table onstage, while the rest of the participants take part in the celebration in their specific assigned areas (just like last year) Live band to provide music for the Lord’s Day (29AD Band) Tambourine dance (HOLD Dance Min) to accompany songs within the Lord’s Day

26 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PMFEAST OF THE CHAMPIONS Final prayer of the Lord’s Day to include blessing of the food Bounty parade, including Lechon parade to start the feast Participants have potluck dinner, and fellowship with brothers and sisters Live band entertainment (29AD Band) during the first half hour, interspersed with raffle draw Ministry segments which include an AVP of the highlights of their conferences, plus a production number showing their conference theme, and an AVP of the ministry’s international coordinator thanking the Lord for blessings of the year, and directions for the coming year Celebrities and other entertainment

27 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 7:30 PM – 8:00 PMHONORING THE CHAMPIONS Honoring the remarkable lives of our brothers and sisters who embody what it really means to be a true CHAMPION for Christ A video about the life of each “champion” (individual or group) will be shown; and then they will be bestowed with a “gold medal” onstage Champions in the following 5 categories: Winning the Gold for the World Winning the Gold for our Society Winning the Gold for the Poor Winning the Gold for the Family Winning the Gold for God

28 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 7:30 PM – 8:00 PMHONORING THE CHAMPIONS After the giving of medals, a chorale will sing, “We Are the Champions”, together with the MCG Band Vertical banners will serve as backdrop of the “champions”, which allows the Logistics team to set-up for the Mass “We Are the Champions” song segues to “We’ll Be Faithful”, which will also serve as the processional hymn of the Mass

29 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 8:00 PM – 9:30 PMHOLY EUCHARIST & ANNIVERSARY MESSAGE During the Offertory, each area (Metro Manila sector, Philippine province, and Foreign country) will offer one “bounty basket” containing fruits or any food/delicacy from their area – the best that their area can offer The Anniversary Message will be given within the mass, before the final blessing (like previous years), but subject to the approval of the Mass celebrant Music Ministry – MCG Band

30 PROGRAM OF ACTIVITIES: 9:30 PM – 10:00 PMPRAISEFEST & FIREWORKS Father and son pair to lead the Praisefest Music Min – MCG Band Fireworks c/o sponsor (hopefully! )
