Basic overview of autocross

Autocross, sometimes called autox, is an exciting sport where the objective is simple: get to the finish line as fast as you can. The track is laid out by cones, to enable the club or clubs to change the race track after every race. If you hit a cone, depending on the event, you get up to a two second penalty. Thinking of cutting through the cones to go straight to the finish line? Sorry, then, because the penalty for having more than half of your car out of bounds is disqualification.
