Facilitate information sharing between chapters, among the council leaders, and the SHRM Board of Directors. 8 Regional Teams SHRM divides its membership into geographic regions—five regions Each region has dedicated staff who are the liaisons between SHRM and the members in the region 8

9 Role of Regional Teams Field Services Director – Nancy Conway Main point of contact for State Councils, Chapter Presidents and other chapter volunteers in their respective states/territories Communicate and promote SHRM vision and strategic objectives Ensure that chapters maintain affiliation standards Regional Administrator – Kristine Hoffmann Main point of contact for supplies, member lists, audits, checks, and general questions Acts as administrator for regional team 9

12 SHRM Board of Directors The SHRM Board of Directors is the ultimate governing body of the Society. The Board is also responsible for approving the policies of the Society Comprised of not fewer than eleven (11) nor more than fifteen (15) voting Directors, plus the President/CEO as an ex officio non-voting Director 12

20 Enterprising Leadership Award Wisconsin State Council Award It awards a chapter or chapters a grant to support a “partnership” with another WI-based organization that promotes communication and collaboration between HR and other business professionals/organizations across the state. It funds initiatives that are innovative and strive to bring business professionals together toward a common cause, led by the HR community. 20

21 Forward HR Magazine The official magazine of the WI SHRM State Council. Published in print and digital format twice per year. 21

22 WI SHRM Non-Profit Mentor Program 2014 Annual mentoring program for executive directors of 501(c)(3) organizations across the state of Wisconsin Targets 6 participants hosted by 5 chapters Program participation will be for the calendar year 2014 Provides education in the field of Human Resources through SHRM’s many resources Targets organizations that do not have a staff Human Resources Professional Sponsored by J.J. Keller Foundation, Inc. 22

23 SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence (SHAPE) Formerly know as the State Council Achievement Plan (SCAP) Covers activities throughout calendar year SHAPE Workbook available to be used as a planning tool Outlines scope of work encouraged by SHRM Secretary will complete with help from council membership Submission is online A recorded webcast and FAQ document available on VLRC 23
