Runnernet Step-by-Step Guide The path to literacy is in the steps you take - A fellow runner
2
What is Runnernet ? It’s the website where you can: ●Create your personal public page so friends can learn about why you are running and contribute by credit card ●Log your cash & check donations ●Log the donations made by your donors on individual company intranets and also identify donations that receive matching funds ●Track all your runs & races
3
Login to Runnernet Go to the Team Asha website, click on the “My Page” tab: ●https://www.ashanet.org/siliconvalley/marathon/runnernet2/logi n.php Type in your Username: ●Use the email id you provided when you registered (on the form or online) Get your Password: ●For the first login, click the “forgot your username/password?” link and provide your username (which is your email id). The system will send you an email with the password; use this to login
4
What to do first Click on the ”MY PROFILE" tab, review the following information and update if needed: 1.Your personal information (name, address, phone numbers): confirm that it is correct 2.Password: you can change it to what you want 3.DOB, T-shirt size: this information will be needed by the Marathons, to put you in the correct group and give you the correct t-shirt etc.
5
Set Up your Public Page Your public page is where you can tell the world about why you are running, and where people can donate by credit card. You can also show your running log on the page. ●The next two slides show how to find your Runner ID and setup and personalize your public page. ●Start by logging into Runnernet: https://www.ashanet.org/siliconvalley/marathon/runnernet2/login.php
6
Click on MY PUBLIC tab. You will find your Runner ID and can personalize the content of your Public Page.
7
At the bottom of your MY PUBLIC page, you can customize additional items that are displayed on your Public Page. ●My Fundraising Goal: This is not your official fundraising amount; you can find that on your MY FUNDS page. This is the goal that you choose to display on your Public Page. Some runners set a personal goal which is higher than their required goal. ●Hide Funds Raised: This affects whether the funds you have raised so far are visible. A benefit of showing the funds you have raised is so people can see your progress. ●Show/Hide Donations: This allows you to control whether a donor’s name and amount of donation are visible on the website. For donations by credit card, the donor can also choose whether to show his or her name or amount of donation as well.
8
This is an example of what a Public Page looks like. CREDIT CARD donations can be made on this page. CREDIT CARD donations are automatically logged into your MY FUNDS page.
9
How to Log Cash/Check/Company Donations ●When you receive donations in the following forms, you will need to log in the information yourself: o Cash o Check o Donations made on company intranets o Company matching funds ●Start by logging into Runnernet and click on MY FUNDS.
10
Click on MY FUNDS to get to “My fundraising log.” This is where you can log your donations and get a summary of your fundraising so far! Click the "Add Cash/Check/CompanyCheck Donations“ button to access "Donation Entry Form”.
11
In "Donation Entry Form“, choose the Donation Method ●CASH: cash donation ●CHECK: personal check donation ●COMPANYCHECK: choose this if a donor contributed to Asha via a company intranet (most companies have their internal sites) (Donor Information is required in order to issue a receipt for tax deduction)
12
For CASH Donation Enter date, amount and donor information A receipt will be sent to the email address entered here. You can also print a receipt from your MY FUNDS page later if you wish. Put the cash in an envelope. Write the donor’s name, your name and Runner ID on the envelope and hand it to fundraising team.
13
For CHECK donation (personal check) enter the date, amount; check#, bank account# and bank name in Comments; and donor details. Write your Runner ID on the check and put it in an envelope. Write the donor’s name, your name and Runner ID on the envelope and hand it to fundraising team. Account# & Bank Name
14
If a donor made a donation on their company's internal website, choose CompanyCheck. Enter date, amount and company name. ( If your donor's company is not on the list, please email webmaster@teamasha.org.) Ask the donor to forward you the email they receive when they made the donation. That email has a transaction id or pledge id that needs to be entered in "Donation Comments". If unsure, copy and paste the whole email into comments section.
15
After adding info on the "Donation Entry Page", it will show up on your MY FUNDS page. If a donation receives Matching funds from a donor's company, click on the "Match" link next to the donation. That will take you to “Matching Entry Page.”
16
On “Matching Entry Form”: Enter the amount that the company will match. Sometimes it’s a % of what your donor contributed; check the email from the donor. And select the company name.
17
When you enter an amount in "Matching Entry Form", it will show up under "Matching Amount". Asha Treasury will follow up with the company to collect the funds and match the donation toward your Fundraising Goal (This process may take a few weeks. Your patience is appreciated :-)
