Would like to Would like to expresses desires; it is a polite form of want. Examples: I would like to work in a hospital. You would like to apply for this job. He would like to change careers. We would like to hire you. They would like to take a vacation.

Future time clauses A time clause begins with words such as if, before, after, as soon as, and when. A time clause has a subject and a verb. In the future tense, the verb in the time clause is in the present tense and the verb in the main clause is in the future tense or is a modal, such as may or might.

(time clause) (main clause) Note: If the time clause is at the beginning of a sentence, use a comma after the time clause. If the time clause is at the end of a sentence, no comma is necessary.
