7
Simulation Experiments The designed system is simulated using appropriate software to verify the outcome. Helps in visualizing the behaviour. Familiarization with Simulink. (analysis tool) Mechatronics
8
Virtualization Background detail of the systems used in the experiments, photographs of set ups and individual components to familiarize themselves with the EP and EH systems can be downloaded. Animations of typical industrial automated systems will be made available to understand the requirements of control system. Detailed algorithms and circuit diagrams will be provided to further understand logical structure used in the design of control systems. Movies of experiment simulation will be provided to familiarize them with designed system. Videos of developed system will be provided. It will help in identifying with the system structure, component mounting and signal flow. Students will be given task of designing customized control systems. They will design the system and simulate it on the available software.
9
Virtual Lab: Target Students The course is targeted at 2 nd and 3 rd year undergraduate students learning basics of Mechatronics, fluid power systems, production systems and control theory. The undergraduate students of 3 rd and 4 th Year may utilize the knowledge to develop automated systems for their projects. Post graduate students may take it as course learning or use it during thesis.
