Port of Constantza – The Facts. Constantza Port – the Eastern Gate of European Union The 9 th port of Europe from total traffic point of view in 2006 Over 1 mil. TEU in 2006; already over 1 mil. TEU for the first 9 months of 2007 Characteristics of Constantza Port Hub: Up to 18.5 m natural depths 120 mil. tons / year capacity 156 berths out of which 140 are operational ones 30 km of breakwaters Direct access to Central & eastern Europe through Danube – The 7 th Pan-European Corridor Direct liaison with TRACECA Corridor & with Pan-European Corridor IV & IX Multimodal center ISPS fully compliant & accordingly with EU regulations

Port of Constantza – The Development. The barge terminal Stage I The barge terminal Stage II 1. The barje terminal, phase I - 67% of the investment (phase I) is ensured by a loan without state guarantee from European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. -the works are on progress and we expect it to be finished in the first quarter of 2008. 2. Development of the railway capacity in the south part of the port, in the connection to the existent container terminal on pier II South and the existent operators in the area
