Purpose: 1.To drain the extracellular tissues of leaky fluid 2.To provide a place for naive cells to be trained

Lymphatic System Disorders: 1.Splenomegaly – swollen spleen due to infection. Ex: Epstein-Barr virus that cause mono.

Lymphatic System Disorders: 2. Tonsillitis – swollen tonsils due to infection. (Tonsils are made of lymphatic tissue)

Lymphatic System Disorders: 3.Lymphedema – blockage of lymph vessels or nodes.

Lymphatic System Disorders: 4. Filariasis (elephantiasis) – Tropical parasitic worms invade the lymph nodes and block them.
