7 Question 6: What did dale miller have to do to become a master chef / what qualifications did he need? to become a certified master chef (CMC) you have to submit a letter of intent. a $300 nonrefundable application fee and two letters of recommendation from current ACF CMPCs or CMCs to the ACF National office. You also need to Possess the practiced skills to perform culinary art to the very highest standards. Have a foundation of quality experience and education in advanced level courses, externships and competitions. Be physically and mentally prepared to perform eight days under extreme pressure. Hold a current ACF Certified Executive Chef (CEC) or Certified Culinary Educator (CCE). You also must recertify every 5 years.

10 Question 9: What made dale miller want to become a master chef? / when did you realize you wanted to become a master chef? He grew up watching his mom cooking and he loved how she utilized all of her ingredients. He knew what he wanted to be since he was four or five “I’m very, very fortunate because I always knew what I wanted to do”. (dale miller) He knew he wanted to be a master chef when he was at a culinary cornucopia and Five of his dishes got three perfect scores of 40. The sixth got two perfect 40s and a 391/2. That judge said no one is perfect. So that is what drove him to become a CMC. He became a certified master chef in April 1996. He obtained the global master chef status, of which there are 300 in the world and 24 in the U.S in 2009.

Dale miller is the executive chef at one of his restaurants in Saratoga springs called Sperry's Dale Miller its "culinary ambassador," the first food consultant ever for the 102-year-old company Ginsberg's Foods Inc. Over the years, dale has also consulted for such mega companies as Cabot Cheese, Macadam Cheese, Red Lobster, Miller’s Select Crabmeat, Olive Garden and California Almonds.

14 Question 13: why does being AFC certified matter? It matters because it shows that you are ineligible in your profession. Shows that you know the importance of high standards for preparing food and the importance of sanitation. Shows that you understand the responsibilities of culinary supervisory management.
