3 What is Physical Activity??  Any form of movement that causes your body to use energy Purposeful ○ Ex: running, swimming Regular routine ○ Wash car, walk dog

6 How activity affects body systems (physical health)  Cardiovascular System- exercise strengthens the heart muscle (pumps blood more efficiently) Cardiovascular System-  Respiratory System- respiratory system works more efficiently with exercise; more air, muscles don’t tire as quickly Respiratory System-  Nervous System- exercise allows you to respond more quickly to stimuli, improved reaction time Nervous System-
