EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C
2
EuroCave cellar conditioners have been designed to preserve your wine in a perfect environment, guaranteeing minimum electrical consumption. As standard building materials have a poor insulation factor, it is necessary that you insulate the room which you wish to condition. Simple to achieve, insulation guarantees minimum electrical consumption, and maximum efficiency from your conditioner.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: Can I still install a cellar conditioner even though I don't have a cellar? Yes, all you have to have is a room or free area that is sheltered from the light and insulate it. I already have a cellar so what advantage is there in having a cellar conditioner? Traditional cellars are not necessarily make good wine cellars. To achieve optimum conditions for maturing wines you must avoid rapid and extensive temperature variations, excess humidity, too much light, etc. Will having a cellar conditioner cause a significant increase in my electricity bill? Not in the least. In constant operation during extreme weather conditions, the CL-C only uses 0.46 € of power per day.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: Can I install it myself? Yes, providing that you are a reasonable handyman. If not, an installer could do it for you. Electrical connections should however be made by a qualified electrician. Why have you not installed a dust filter the same as your competitors? We have done everything to make maintaining our cellar conditioners as simple as possible. In addition to normal cleaning operations, filters represent an additional component, which need to be changed regularly and at short intervals in order to function efficiently. Moreover, they can obstruct air flow and adversely affect the cellar conditioner's operation.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: I know nothing about cellar conditioner power. The power of a cellar conditioner fitted with a capillary tube is not something that is fixed but should be set in accordance with specific parameters such as the temperature reached inside the location, and the outside temperature. Some competitors play around with these parameters in order to claim very favourable power consumption, which has no basis in fact. The CL-C is fitted with a thermostatic valve enabling a constant refrigeration power output (1200 W) to be displayed irrespective of the ambient temperature. The outside part of the cellar conditioner extends into my garage. Could installing a cellar conditioner pollute the atmosphere in my cellar? No, because the cellar conditioner does not cause an exchange of air between locations. External and internal air circuits are independent.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: How do you get rid of the humidity produced by the cellar conditioner? If the level of humidity is low, you can either let it evacuate naturally or, in order to keep a steady hygrometry rate of between 60 and 80%, you can connect up a piece of hosepipe in order to remove humidity from the location you are using. Doesn ’ t the part that intrudes into the other room take up a lot of place? The front of the appliance sticks out of the other side of the wall by 330 mm. You must therefore choose carefully where you install the appliance. Nonetheless, this part enables a much greater level of refrigeration and thus increases cellar conditioner efficiency. What is a thermostatic valve? The thermostatic valve enables air drying to be avoided, far quicker temperature drop and constant refrigeration power output whatever the outside temperature happens to be.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: Why, if the thickness of my wall exceeds 200mm, should I cut out a hole with a chamfered edge? Good air circulation is vital for the cellar conditioner to operate correctly and the breather vents should not be blocked. Can I install a cellar conditioner in a long narrow room? There is no reason why an installation of this type cannot be carried out. However, the appliance should be placed longitudinally in order to obtain maximum air flow. A distance of 800 mm between the air outlet and a wall should always be maintained. Does it take very long to install? Installation is carried out in two stages: making the hole in the wall or partition (times vary between a few minutes for plasterboard to up to an hour for a stone wall), the cellar conditioner then takes about another 30 minutes to install.

EuroCave Cellar Conditioner CL-C Answers to arguments: Your other appliances are made out of plastic. Doesn't this one run the risk of rusting? No, it is covered with a special Epoxy coating. What is the advantage of having a cellar conditioner if I already have standard air conditioning? The cellar conditioner enables conditions that are perfect for maturing your wine to be created, especially in that it controls temperature to the nearest degree. The cellar conditioner also enables the correct humidity required for wine to mature properly, whereas standard air conditioning has a drying effect on the air.
