YOUTH AND EDUCATION ACTION TEAM YEAT GOALS Assist Youth in getting more involved in City activities Encourage Youth to have a stake in their community Identify existing activities that engage youth and build on current successes

YEAT ACTIVITIES 2ND YOUTH LEADERSHIP ACADEMY OCTOBER 14, 2003 - APRIL 3, 2004 Providing YOUTH with many opportunities to become LEADERS 25 Students completed the program and will attend the graduation event in May.

YEAT ACTIVITIES Asset Building training – has reached approximately 100 teachers, recreation leaders, youth advocates, and youth peers. Citywide Teen Conference – about 400 teens from all city neighborhoods – job fair, college fair, asset building, and financial aid programs plus input to Teen Center. Next Meeting – May 27

FUTURE FOCUS: REVIEW LEADERSHIP ACADEMY PROGRAM TO IMPROVE FALL 2004-SPRING 2005 SESSION PLAN SECOND CITY-WIDE YOUTH TEEN CONFERENCE FOR APRIL 2005 PROGRAM PLANNING FOR TEEN CENTER
