PBL Connection: This will connect to our project because students must be able to spell words and use them appropriately when speaking. Supplies: Dry/Erase Board & Markers Magnetic Letters, Play-Doh Smartboard Word Work Activity Indiana Standards: R.F.1.1, RF.1.2, RF1.3 Noise Level: 0-1 Objective: Students will be working on word skills geared towards their level. Monday - Complete word work activity from your folder. If there is time left study spelling words. Tuesday: -Study Spelling Words, using materials at the word work station. Wednesday: - Complete word work activity from your folder. If there is time left study spelling words. Thursday: -Study Spelling Words, using materials at the word work station. Friday: -Sight Word Go Fish Working With Words Station

PBL Connection: Each student will be reading a level appropriate book. Supplies: Book of Your Choice Data Binder I-Pad Indiana Standards: R.CCR.1, R.CCR.2, R.CCR.3, R.CCR.10, RL.1.1, RL.1.2, RL.1.3, RL.1.7, RI.1.2, RF1.4 Voice Level: 0-1 Objectives: Student’s will increase fluency and build their vocabulary by reading level appropriate books. Monday- Read to Self-Read book silently to yourself. Tuesday- Read to Someone-Read book quietly with a partner. Wednesday- Read to Self-Read book silently to yourself. Thursday- Read to Someone-Read book quietly with a partner. Friday- Listen To Reading- Listen to book on CD with Partner Read to Self/Read to Someone If You Have More Time: After you read a book, take an AR test.

PBL Connection: Students will begin research for our historical museum project. Supplies: Nonfiction Tub of Books Graphic Organizers Pencil Biographies Indiana Standards: RF1.1, SL1.1, SL1.5, SL1.6, L.CCR.1, L.CCR.2 Voice Level: 0-1 Objective: Students will be working on different parts of our project that incorporate our language arts/writing skills for the week. Monday: Historical Museum Project- Start researching your famous person, using the books in the orange tubs. Use post-it notes to write your facts on and stick it to the page with the fact. Tuesday: Historical Museum Project- Continue researching your famous person, using the books in the orange tubs. Use post-it notes to write your facts on and stick it to the page with the fact. Wednesday: Historical Museum Project- Start writing your facts onto your graphic organizer to keep them organized. Thursday: Historical Museum Project- Continue writing your facts onto your graphic organizer to keep them organized. Friday: Share with Elbow Buddy- With a partner, share the facts that you have learned about your person. PBL Language Arts Station

Math Game Station Noise Level: 0-1 Materials: *Game Materials Common Core Standards: 1.OA.6, 1.NBT.1 Monday: Addition Top-It Tuesday: Addition Top-It Wednesday: Number Cards and Domino’s Concentration Thursday: Beat the Calculator Friday: Candy Land (Addition Facts) Project Connection: These games will reinforce skills that the students will need to know in order to complete their project.

Math Project Station Noise Level:0-1 Materials: *Pencils *Math Facts Test/Flash Cards *Math Masters Pg. 148 Common Core Standards: 1.MD.2 Objective: Students will be working on different parts of our project that incorporate our math skills for the week. Monday: Charting Domino Sums- Add the dots on each domino and sort them in the correct column. Tuesday: Counting- With partner, time each other counting. Wednesday: Fact Families (Math Masters Pg. 159) Thursday: Fact Triangles (Math Masters Pg. 174) Friday: Bubble Gum Math Facts Project Connection: Students will be using different aspects of their project to review their math skills. If You Have More Time- Work on your Number Scrolls.
