Gifts from the Heart Workshop Saturday, January 14, 2006 Sponsored by: Trousdale County 4-H

Thank You Hartville, TN for having a big Heart Thank you for the love that you have shown to Harrison County 4-H Clubs, because of your generous gift of $500 our youth have had the opportunity to start getting back to normal with 4-H workshops and other events. The first workshop that was sponsored with part of your gift was “Gifts from the Heart Workshop” where 17 youth and 3 adult volunteers participated. The workshop gave the youth an opportunity to make Jams, Jellies and Soups for their families, friends and neighbors. The remaining monies will go into a scholarship program to send senior 4-H members to state club congress this June. Stay tune for the Update…

Lunch Hartville thank you for the great lunch. Happy meals had to be served because Pizza delivery is not longer available in the area due to the stores being destroyed in the storm.

Impact Immediately after the workshop was over a youth and adult volunteer presented a cup of soup to a homeless man on the street out side the Extension Building and shared, that all he needed to do was to add hot water to make soup. It is those acts of kindness that makes the best better.
