The Ultimate 6 th Grade Picnic

When are we leaving? Friday, June 10th We are departing @ 9:30 and will return to GVMS @ approximately 2:00. You will go to your 8 th period class upon return to GVMS The ENTIRE 6 th grade will be attending this trip on the same day

What do I wear? Bring a SCHOOL APPROPRIATE bathing suit or wear one under your clothes You must cover up with a shirt and shorts while walking around the park Bring water shoes (or old sneakers) if you plan to go into the river FLIP FLOPS MAY NOT BE WORN IN THE RIVER

Cell Phones It is advised that you leave your phones in your lockers for this trip. If you choose to bring your phones, we will NOT be responsible for lost or damaged phones.

What should I bring? Extra sunblock Light rain gear (possibly) A towel A bag for WET CLOTHES Be sure to write your name on EVERYTHING Small backpack to carry your items Bring $3.00 if you want ice cream

What do they have to eat? Burgers Veggie Burgers Hot dogs Popcorn French Fries Soda Water Lemonade Ice Cream ($3.00)

What can I do there? Swimming in the Brandywine River Tubing down the Brandywine River Boating in the Brandywine River Live Animal Attractions Miniature Golf DJ-Dance Party! Various Rides Giant Slide Basketball EAT

Rules and Consequences You are representing GVMS. Please be on your BEST behavior. There will be other schools at the park. Follow the rules of the park. Listen to ALL adults including those from other schools and park employees. If you choose to break a rule, you will have a “time-out” with your teachers.

Where do I go if I need an adult? Your teachers will be taking shifts at GVMS’s designated area. (pavilion or tent) A school nurse will also be there. There is a first aid center in the park if you need immediate attention.

Pick up all belongings before heading to the buses. Clean up all of your trash at the pavilion. In the past, many people have left behind sneakers, towels, bathing suits and other personal belongings! Your things are your responsibility.
