5 Lieutenant governor duties Support and strengthen clubs by: Being the governor’s representative in your division Visiting, evaluating and coaching Connecting clubs to resources Promoting succession planning

6 Lieutenant governor duties Organizing and chairing division meetings Assisting clubs with membership invitations and member retention Reviewing club reports and taking remedial action when necessary

7 Lieutenant governor duties Assist in opening clubs by: Identifying potential new club locations Encouraging clubs to become involved in club opening

8 Lieutenant governor duties Taking a lead role on the club-opening team Connecting new clubs in your division with a sponsoring club Mentoring the new club

9 Lieutenant governor duties Promote Kiwanis education by: Staying current through Kiwanis and district websites and Kiwanis magazine Encouraging members to do the same

10 Lieutenant governor duties Coordinating club president and club secretary education Arranging delivery of Kiwanis education at division meetings Participating in lieutenant governor education Serving on the district board of directors (in some districts)

11 Lieutenant governor duties Promote communication by: Delivering key messages to your clubs from the district governor and Kiwanis International Developing a customized communication plan with your clubs
