4 Quality Teaching and Instructional Programming Creating Learning Guides that follow Early Learning Standards, Creative Curriculum, and Kindergarten Readiness Sent a survey to our kindergarten teachers to gather data regarding readiness skills Using the new Early Learning Guides published late in 2013 by the State Creative Curriculum provides a state-approved structure and lesson planning tool for teachers Teachers are working to combine all resources to create one guide.

5 Quality Teaching and Instructional Programming Implementation of 2 nd Step, Early Learning and ACES programming 2 nd Step is a program designed to teach children social and emotional skills Preschool skills focus on listening to others, resolving conflict, and responding to feelings ACES (All Children Experience Success) program is being modified to meet the social readiness of preschoolers. We are working to prepare students for the same types of things they will see in their kindergarten classrooms and schools

6 Safety, Efficiency, and Effectiveness Implementation of Standard Response Protocol (SRP) Quarterly lockdown drills Monthly fire drills Secured entrance with external doors locked Cameras installed at front entrance in in hallways Radios have been implemented in the main office for use in emergency situations

7 Safety, Efficiency, and Effectiveness Grant to implement a full day option at the preschool In the planning and data gathering phase. Due to the State on February 14 Partnering with the Sixpence program, which serves the birth to three population to transition students into our onsite program when appropriate Student outreach to the unserved students in the community

9 Facility expansion has allowed for more classrooms to meet student needs Mainstreaming students with special needs All Classrooms are 50% or less special needs Growth of student enrollment. This is an 84% increase in enrollment over last year! Staff retention All teachers returned this year to the preschool!
