15 Applying to DCU English language entry requirements DCU also accepts other English language examinations. For a full list visit www.dcu.ie/english-language ELTS: Overall score of 6.5 or above, with no less than 6.0 in any one skill. DCU Business School additionally requires 6.5 in speaking and writing. TOEFL: Total Score of 92. DCU Business School additionally requires all section scores 21 or above. Your English language certificate must be awarded within two years of the start date of your DCU programme.

16 Academic Entry Requirements Undergraduate You can directly enter Year 1 if you have studied in one of the following: GCSE A levels – you must have 4 A levels or 3 A levels + 1 AS level in different subjects from the same year or preceding year only International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma - Mathematics and English must have been studied. Maths Studies is not accepted or have an equivalent qualification You must meet specific subject entry requirements, where required, e.g. Mathematics or a Science subject at a specific grade.

17 Typically, you need a Bachelor’s degree from a good University with a minimum of a 2.1 or GPA of 3 out of 4 or GPA 4 out of 5. Other Entry Requirements: Please note that some programmes will have different/additional entry requirements (e.g. interview, sample piece of writing). Notify the International Office that you have accepted your place. 19 Applying for Visa EU Citizens You do not require an entry visa for Ireland if you are a EU citizen. However, you should bring with you your letter of confirmation of a place at DCU and some proof that you have sufficient financial resources for your stay. Non-EU Citizens If you are not an EU citizen, the situation varies, so please contact your nearest Irish Embassy or Consulate to find out whether or not you require an entry visa or you may enquire from the Department of Foreign Affairs at the address provided below. The Department also provides a list of countries whose citizens require visas for Ireland.
