65 th Annual Potomac River Festival Fire/Rescue Parade Friday, June 10, 2016 Colonial Beach, Virginia Line-up starts at 1:00 PM Judging starts at 4:00 PM Parade begins at 7:30 PM IN FAIRNESS TO EVERYONE, IF YOU ARE NOT IN LINE-UP BY 6:00 PM YOU WILL NOT BE JUDGED!! Trophies will be awarded for categories noted with an (*). CBVFD and CBVRS do not compete. PARADE RULES 1.All Fire/Rescue vehicles are to report to the firehouse to receive your line-up entry number. Entry number must be placed on the driver’s side front window. Must be registered and in line-up by 6:00pm in order to be judged. 2.The Fire/Rescue parade will begin promptly at 7:30 PM with the sounding of the fire alarm and will be held rain or shine. 3.Non-emergency services personnel and children are NOT allowed to ride in parade vehicles. 4.Sirens or other noise-making devices SHALL NOT be sounded within the marked Quiet Zone. 5.A distance of 25 feet and not more then 50 feet must be maintained between all units throughout the length of the parade. 6.No parade participant is allowed to throw any objects from any vehicle or official car to the parade spectators. 7.Chairs utilized for riders on Fire/Rescue vehicles must be properly secured and must not exceed 13 feet from the pavement to the highest point of the truck. 8.POSITIVELY NO standing on top of any Fire/Rescue vehicles during the parade route. 9.The Town of Colonial Beach, Colonial Beach Vol. Fire Department, Inc., and Colonial Beach Vol. Rescue Squad are in no way responsible for any damage(s) done to any Fire/Rescue vehicles or lost/stolen items before, during, or after the parade. 10.There will be NO alcoholic beverages consumed in the parade line-up or during the parade. 11.Fire/Rescue vehicles are only allowed to enter into one category.
