How could you describe some of the stars you have seen in the night sky? Constellations!

CONSTELLATION A CONSTELLATION is a particular area of the sky that contains a particular set of stars. If imaginary lines were drawn to connect the stars in the constellation, the resulting shape might resemble a person, animal, or object.

MYTHOLOGY MYTHOLOGY ! Mythology is the study of myths, which are stories from ancient times. Many of the constellations are named after mythic characters, such as Hercules.

… located in the same spot in the night sky, no matter the season or the time of night? Some constellations are, such as Orion. Other constellations look different based upon the time of night or the season, like Cassiopeia. Some constellations cannot be seen at all during certain seasons. Why do you think this might happen?
