2. Warm-Up: Step-by-Step to find the 5 Number Summary Data: 1, 2, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 9, 9, 9, 10, 11, 15 Step 1: Put the data in numerical order. (Our data above is already in numerical order!) Step 2: Find the median. Median is the middle. This divides the data into two halves. 1, 2, 4, 5, 5, 5, 5, 6, 7, 9, 9, 9, 10, 11, 15 Step 3: Find the lower quartile (Q1). This is the middle value of the first half. Step 4: Find the upper quartile (Q3). This is the middle value of the second half. Step 5: Find the minimum. This is the smallest value. Step 6: Find the maximum. This is the largest value.
