Cycle City Ambition The Government expects to support one First Wave and two Second Wave cities. Our rivals are Birmingham, Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol, Liverpool, Manchester and Nottingham.

Cycle City Ambition ‘A vision for an improved and fully integrated network that will be delivered over the next ten years’ -Submit bids by 30 April 2013 -Detailed delivery plan and package by June 2013 -Two year funding ends 2014/15

Cycle City Ambition The vision could include - Junction improvements -Better street design -Segregated or partially segregated cycle infrastructure alongside arterial roads for commuters -Segregated infrastructure to access schools

Cycle City Ambition -Better infrastructure to link up businesses, hospitals, shops, and key services -Links between green space -More 20 mph zones and limits -Improved interchange hubs with better facilities to enable and encourage better door to door journeys
