2. 1. Are you male or female? In my questionnaire I asked 15 random people for their answers. By doing this I have gained a wide variety of answers. Here 10 people which answered my questionnaire were male and 5 were female. This suggests how majority of the people that play GTA 5 are male rather than female. As we can see there are female players too but not as many.

3. 2. How old are you? Here from the pie chart above, we can see how the majority of the people I asked are aged 16-21 years old. This implies how most people that play GTA 5 are this age. The lowest age group was 27+ having 2 people. Quite a few 22-27 year old gamers play the game as 4 people are that age. We cam clearly see how all ages play GTA5.

4. 3. Are you employed? From the evidence above we can see how most of the gamers are employed. I know this as 11 of the people that filled out my questionnaire were employed leaving only four unemployed. This suggests how the unemployed people are younger and do not have an income to pay for these privileges. As majority of the gamers are employed they have a disposable income allowing them to buy the games due to them being quite expensive at around £40 per game.

5. 4. How much do you spend on video games each month? The most of the 15 people I asked spend £26-£45 a month, this works out at around one game per month. This shows how just under half of the people buy one game per month. Three people £46-£100 each month and one person spends over £100 on games in a month emphasising how much people spend o video games each month.

6. 5. What types of games do you tend to play? From the pie chart above we can see how the most popular video game genre that people play is Action, this is as six of the 15 people chose it. The least popular game genre the people play is Sport. This goes to show how majority of people like games such as GTA 5 and other games in the action group.

7. 6. How much time do you play video games in a week? Here we can see how most of the people I asked spend 15-25 hours gaming each week. This suggests how the gamers are serious and how they spend a lot of time each week gaming. As they are spending so many hours gaming they clearly spend a lot of money on different games.

8. 7. Who buys you games? Here we can see how majority of the people who play video games buy them there selves meaning they are over the age of 18. The rest of the answers include parents, relatives and others which suggests how a large number of the gamers are under the age of 18 and cannot buy the games.

9. 8. Where do you get your games from? Out of the people who participated in my questionnaire either but the game through stores or online. This is as midnight releases occur in stores meaning the game can be obtained quicker and also online deliver is quick. The digital stores shop is not as popular as my participants said how its not trustworthy and it cannot be used on more than one console. For example, if somebody buys the game on their Xbox and wants to take it to their friends house they will not be able to do it. Meaning its not portable.

10. 9. What console do you play your games on? As we can see from above the average gamer plays the games mainly on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This suggests that these consoles are the most popular and gamers mostly purchase games for these consoles. Not many of the participants play games on the computer as it is an old console compared to the Xbox and PlayStation.

11. 10. How do you prefer to play the games? Almost three quarters of the participants prefer to game online rather than offline. This is as when they game online they can play with their friends which can be more entertaining. The quarter of the participants play offline mainly to complete missions or so they can be ‘free’ and so what they please. Whilst playing online the gamers can communicate with each other and they may even find the game easier as it is a group effort, not just one persons.

12. Audience Profile From the answers to the questions on my survey I can easily see who the typical gamer is. From my results I can see how the GTA V typical gamer is male, aged between 16 and 21, are employed so they can buy their games and they play them on Xbox. As well as this they game for around 15-25 hours per week, they buy their games from stores or online shops, spending around £26-£45 on games per month which works out at around one game per month and he also prefers to play online. The survey I created and with help from my participants is very beneficial to me as it has gave a clear image on the typical gamer. I know this as I gave the survey to complete different people from college and out of college to give me a wide range of results.
