3 1. H OW DO YOU INHERIT IT ? You can’t inherit Breast Cancer, but it can run in your family If a close relative has it, you may be at risk Your risk increases if your relative had it before the age of 50

4 2. W HAT ARE THE G ENOTYPES OF THE PARENTS AND WHAT IS THE ABNORMALITY ? Mom = homozygous recessive Dad = heterozygous The cancer cells divide out of control and create a tumor
