History Royal Greenland Trading Company – From 1774 to 1985 KNI - Kalaallit Niuerfiat – 1986-1992 Royal Arctic Line Ltd. - established in 1992

Royal Arctic Line A/S is 100% owned by the Government of Greenland. Royal Arctic Line is responsible for servicing Greenland by sea with all kind of supplies and has a concession agreement with the Government of Greenland. Operating 14 container terminals, providing stevedoring, warehousing, and other transport related services
