But… It’s Critical! Online technology changes rapidly! There are too many changes for one person to keep up and be the expert in everything! Everyone wins in a shared culture of lifelong learning

10
1/4 Relationship First Information Second Our knowmates learn best when they feel safe to make mistakes; Their ideas are cherished and valued and assist others in their learning process. New knowledge is formed, linked and applied to their real life situations A strong relationship equals relevant and valuable information
11
2/4 Guide on the Side ~ Not ~ Sage on the Stage No-one person is an expert in everything! Online programs, software, and technology changes too often for one person to be the only expert We are equals who learn together Ideas and contributions are cherished and valued Every member is an expert in their own area
12
3/4 I want to be here! Constant interaction with people in different phases of learning, keeps things lively! Different mix of vocations stimulate knowplace Different things happen all the time! My thoughts and comments are heard and influence things here I like the people I see here – I want to keep in touch with them!
13
4/4 Give back to knowplace! A community is only as rich as it’s people and the information shared: Open Weekend participants are encouraged to lead workshops Course projects are used to inspire future knowmates Knowmates are encouraged to mentor Knewbies
